$300m investment to improve Victorian South East Congestion

Mordialloc Bypass

Planning is underway for the Mordialloc Bypass after Victorian Government announces they will invest $300 million into the development. This investment will see improved travel times, boost reliability and improve safety for motorists.

The project will include a new 9 kilometre road link beginning at Mornington Peninsula Freeway in Aspendale Gardens through to the Dingley Bypass. This will assist in easing congestion for Melbourne’s bayside suburbs with the inclusion of an overpass separating the busy Springvale Road intersection.

VicRoads have announced they expect construction to begin mid 2019 pending environmental and planning approvals
