New Dealership Opens in Terang, Victoria
We have officially opened our fifth dealership in Terang, servicing the Southwest Victorian region (Warrnambool through to Colac and surrounding areas). MelTrac Machinery opened its doors on Monday 9th April, 2018. The dealership is the new official dealer for New Holland Agriculture equipment in the southwest region, recently taking over from another local business. The branch will also be stocking New Holland Construction Equipment, Kobelco Excavators, ASV Positracks, Faresin mixer wagons, Elsworth Hay Rakes & Feed Carts and Farm Pro Feeders & Paddock Rollers, as well as KenBuilt Buckets & Attachments, MSB Breakers and Ammann Compaction equipment.
Opening a new dealership in this area is an exciting move for the group, which already have well established dealerships in Campbellfield Melbourne, Dandenong Melbourne, Ballarat Victoria and Darra Brisbane. The group are dealers of New Holland Construction & Agriculture Equipment, Kobelco Excavators, ASV Positracks (formerly Terex Positracks), MSB Breakers and Ammann Compaction Equipment. Having a stronger presence in the Southwest Victorian region will allow the company to better service the local farmers and businesses. “Southwest Victoria is an area which we see a lot of potential in. Appointed Branch Manager, Bryan Pitman, will be leading the team, which will include a dedicated service department, parts department and sales team. Pitman’s extensive experience in the agriculture and construction industries, and also having grown up in the same area, saw him as the perfect fit to head the team at MelTrac. Pitman grew up on a dairy farm in Southwest Victoria and always had a love for the land and machinery. After finishing school he went on to complete a Diesel Mechanic apprenticeship which later landed him a position in the Western Australia mines working on a number of machinery brands. After a few years, Pitman moved back to Victoria to start a job as a workshop mechanic working on most of the Agricultural equipment, and more recently New Holland Ag machinery. He quickly moved from workshop mechanic to workshop manager and has now moved across to MelTrac Machinery to take the position of Branch Manager. Throughout Pitman’s career he has built strong relationships with the local agri farmers and construction businesses, and looks forward to continuing those relationships under the new MelTrac Machinery banner.
